on that note(sorry unintentional for pun), check out the book: Temperament by Stuart Issacoff. it it discusses applications and development of many tuning systems, microtunings, design vs. tuning(harpsichords to pianos to keys) and email me if about my alternate tunings with irrational numbers and mathematical constants, causes harmonic/inharmonic steps to drift for infinity in some cases. later, nth.
